My name is Jada Hoffman and I am one of the interns from Lewis University who will be helping out the Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry this spring.
In my Public Relations Writing class, we were given a nonprofit organization. We are required to act as their PR practitioner while simultaneously learning how to be one. I am very excited to do this project because it puts me in a realistic situation and makes me really excited to start my career.
I will now tell you more about myself. I am a sophomore double majoring in Radio/TV Broadcasting and Public Relations/Advertising at Lewis University in Romeoville, Illinois. I am a sprinter on the women’s track and field team. I am heavily involved on campus as I am the Director of Communications for Student Senate, Public Chair for Black Student Union, Assistant News Editor for our newspaper the Flyer, apart of our television station, a Student Ambassador, and a worker in the Office of Student Activities. That was a lot, sorry for the run on sentence!
I am from Chicago, Il and attended Marian Catholic High School and graduated from Kenwood Academy. I will always tell you my favorite city is Chicago, it genuinely is the best.
I am excited to continue working with Marie’s Pantry as it not only helps me with my studies, but I am also gaining a new perspective about food, pantries and the art of giving and donating. The team is amazing and welcomed my partner and I with open arms. Thank you for allowing us to be apart of this experience!
